Artist Bio
Date Night is a bossa nova and jazz ensemble based out of Ithaca, NY. Started as a duo by husband and wife team Florinda Larkin and Olive Mitra when they arrived in Ithaca from Oakland, California, Date Night has expanded into a full ensemble.
Backed by a stellar band of multi-instrumentalists, vocalist Florinda Larkin sings in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian, with just a little bit of Aretha Franklin thrown in for good measure.
Date Night brings the romance and allure of the bossa nova songbook to life, turning any venue into a velvety lounge from a groovier era.
